Nope, not at all.
A while ago my daughter, probably joking, told me the garden was mine to work. It is a wonderful fenced in (deer fenced out) area with a cute little greenhouse her father-in-law built out of used windows. I work in it all the time anyway so might as well be overseer. But I still don't make decisions without checking for...well, one doesn't step on toes, even in the garden.
Gardening in the northwest is a lot different from the northeast so I have started doing some studying. I have been raising tomatoes off and on since I was a kid and never knew there were two distinct types of tomato plants. Determinate and indeterminate. You look it up if you want to get the details.
Next thing I did was to buy a Bio Dome to to start my seeds in. Maybe a little far ahead, but does it ever feel good to imagine that mini greenhouse full of well started plants.
Then I felt I could sit back with all the seed catalogs I've ordered, as well as paper and pencil and lay out a chart of what should go where. First I must get vegetable likes and dislikes from my son-in-law, Kevin. Broccoli and cauliflower. Corn is a given.
And with this start I have my rainy day activities planned with joy.
Must also get back to my studies in Watercolor.
And...one last line...how is decorative painting doing in the marketplace nowadays?
Thanks for stopping by.
